ABOUT US

Metro Vancouver Indigenous Counselling is a grassroots organization based on the traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations in Vancouver, BC. We offer trauma-informed, culturally safe mental health services to individuals across the province, collaborating with communities to enhance the wellness of their members. We also support organizations by providing culturally relevant training and workshops. Our team includes both Indigenous and non-Indigenous professionals, each bringing skills, knowledge, and extensive experience working with Indigenous communities.

PURPOSE

Metro Vancouver Indigenous Counselling was created in response to the immense need for culturally safe mental health services for Indigenous Peoples throughout British Columbia. Recognizing the barriers faced by Indigenous mental health providers and providers from historically racialized groups, our practice also aims to support these counsellors on their professional journeys.
