Indigenous-focussed and feminist psychotherapy counselling service provided by Registered Master Social Worker, Norissa Mongrain, also known as Kiniw Kwe (Golden Eagle Woman), by spirit name. Norissa is of Algonquin and Finnish decent with family ties to Kipawa, Quebec.
Norissa has over 15 years of experience working in mental health, health authorities, primary care, community and social services for on and off reserve Indigenous communities.
When Norissa is not counselling, she works as the Aboriginal Patient Care, Quality and Safety Consultant for Interior Health Authority and instructs as an External Practicum Supervisor for the Master of Social Work Program at the University of Waterloo, Renison College, School of Social Work.
