E.J. LINK
REGISTERED MASTER SOCIAL WORKER
k̓alhwá7acw (Hello), my name is E.J. Link. I am a biracial individual whose heritage comes from the Xaxl’ip band in Lillooet of the St’at’imc Nation and the Philippines. I am a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of British Columbia – Okanagan. In addition to my counselling practice, I am a Medical Social Worker in the UBC Hospital within the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromyelitis Optica Clinic.
I hope to help clients reconnect with themselves by fostering an environment where emotions can be safely untangled and processed. I pride myself on developing collaborative therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and strength-based approaches to practice. With warmth and genuineness, I work with clients to explore their stories gently and at their own pace while always considering how difficult this may be for them.
Through client-centred practice, I work with individuals to identify the best ways to assist them with their unique needs and goals. Some modalities I commonly draw from are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. It would be an honour for me to be able to work with you throughout this point in your journey in any capacity I can. I look forward to meeting with you to see how we would be able to work towards wholistic wellness.
