LOST BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

MMIWG HSS is a national program administered in BC through Health Benefits. Counselling is available to address mental distress and trauma resulting from the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in Canada. Services are available for survivors, family members, and others affected by the issue. First Nations and non-First Nations individuals are eligible for the program.

WHAT IS PROVIDED

This program covers up to 20 one-hour counselling sessions over a 12-month period, in addition to the initial assessment. Should the counsellor and client identify the need for additional counselling, a new Prior Approval Form can be submitted for additional sessions.

FOR ALL THOSE AFFECTED

In BC, counselling for those most affected by MMIWG is not limited by Indigenous Status. This program is here for survivors, family members, and other individual affected by the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.

COMPLETE AN INTAKE FORM TODAY

The first step to connecting with one of our counsellors is to complete our secure online intake form. The information from this form is then submitted to First Nations Health Authority for service approval. A counsellor will then connect with you and discuss your goals and begin the counselling process.
