Accessibility statement
Removing barriers to support.
Metro Vancouver Indigenous Counselling is committed to making our services and our website welcoming and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility and cultural safety go hand in hand: both are about removing barriers so people can get the support they need.
Our website
We aim to follow recognized accessibility guidance, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as we continue to improve. This includes:
- Clear structure, readable typography, and strong colour contrast
- Keyboard-navigable menus and visible focus states
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences
- Descriptive text for meaningful images
Accessing our services
We offer counselling in person, by phone, and by video, so you can connect in the way that works best for you. If you have specific access needs, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We welcome feedback, and we use it to keep improving.
