Welcome to Metro Vancouver Indigenous Counselling (MVIC). These terms govern your use of our services, including our website, electronic communications, and SMS messaging. By using our services and providing your contact information, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
1. Use of services
MVIC provides culturally grounded, trauma-informed counselling primarily to Indigenous clients across British Columbia. Our services support mental health and wellness and are not a substitute for emergency care or medical services.
2. Consent to communications
By submitting your contact information through our website, intake form, or consent form, you agree to receive communications from us, which may include:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Service updates or check-ins
- Support-related information
These communications may be sent by SMS, phone, or email.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies with your level of engagement. On average, clients receive one to four SMS messages per month. Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.
4. Opt-out and help
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. For help with messaging, reply HELP or email admin@mvic.ca.
5. Privacy & data use
We are committed to safeguarding your personal information. Your mobile number and any associated opt-in data will never be shared with third parties. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.
